Come work with @AtheneCunicula and me, (he is the good part I am the bad part of the deal :p) https://t.co/lNwEmCpurW
In Reply to @NataliePis @NataliePis Beach Airbnbs have a thing with sand, same for car rentals. “Do not shower if you have sand” if my fav… do you expect me to do what exactly to remove the natural floor of your city from me?
In Reply to @Cerebrado @Cerebrado After some info lookup (not available for my model but similar ones) it seems this is an analog hardware limitation. https://github.com/umzr/how-to-hack-brother-printer-toner-cartridge- in case you have a similar issue, sadly this cartridge exposes the toner roller and is a mess to handle (and toxic)
In Reply to @Cerebrado @Cerebrado It seems to me it is recorded into the cartridge, removing it and re-placing it shows no option to reset, it also survives power loss and I do not think they would store every cartridge id in printer. Likely a fuse burn scheme. Aftermarket costs less at least.
In Reply to @RichRap3D @RichRap3D Interesting, is that a mechanical failure? I did not think the force exerted by the drag of the hot-end would wear out that part, even at temperature.
So, the printer brand toner cartridge has an artificial limit on the amount of prints… And they wonder why one buys aftermarket ones (which I just bought as replacement)
